Center Stage Jackson (CSJ) will be providing scholarships this year to support students pursuing further education in the Theatre Arts and whose parents, grandparents, step-parents, step-grandparents, guardians or the student themselves are members of CSJ.  The amount of the scholarships will be determined by the number of qualifying applicants but will not be less than $100, and the number of recipients and total dollars available will vary up to the awarding of the grants.

The Scholarship Application form is available on the CSJ website and at the main desk of The Ella Sharp Museum.  The Applications must be received at the CSJ mail box at: PO Box 822, Jackson, MI, 49204 or dropped off at the Ella Sharp Museum of Art and History’s main reception desk at 3225 Fourth Street, Jackson, MI on or before July 27, 2012.

Winners will be selected on the basis of CSJ’s established scoring policy, a copy of which is available upon request.  Ties will be broken using a blind random drawing.  Applicants will need to have a high school or current post secondary educational institution GPA of 2.5 or greater and planning to attend or attending a post secondary fully accredited junior college, college, university or trade school.

The scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, books and other academic expenses.  The winners will be announced at the CSJ Annual Meeting at Ella Sharp Museum on Tuesday, August 28th at 7:00 p.m.

Applicants can call 517-414-8652 with questions concerning the application form itself.

The CSJ Scholarship Fund is an independent, self supporting project which does not use funds from any ongoing CSJ accounts but relies entirely on donations which are explicitly designated for the CSJ Scholarship Fund.
