What is it?

The Talent Pool Database is a collection of profiles from EVERYONE who participates with us in productions or other activities. All information is kept private, only used internally and NEVER given to any outside groups.

What is it for?

With all of the information in the database we can filter people based on interests and attributes. Let's say we're looking for a set designer. We can sort all profiles to only show us people who had indicated that they were interested in Set Design. Perhaps we're trying to cast a Youth Theatre show that is really boy heavy. If we don't get a lot of younger boys who came out to auditions for whatever reason we can filter first by age range and then an interest in Acting. Once those results are up, we can then send an email to everyone who fits. Get the idea?

Why is this needed?

First and foremost we haven't had a membership database in a long time. In the past it's been handled by an MS Access database that wasn't kept up to date very well. Each year when people become members they fill out a form stating their interests but are rarely contacted with opportunities because the forms get filed away. We also have a lot of people who aren't members (why not?) that regularly participate that we don't always know who is interested in what. With the Talent Pool Database we will be able to keep track of everything and  hopfully prevent people from slipping through the cracks.

How do I sign up?

Simply follow this link and register for an account. Once you've registered, it will generate an email with your log on information which you should keep. Log back into the database and continue adding information to your profile. the more info you provide, the better we can match you and provide opportunities.
