Synopsis

Making God Laugh follows one American family over the course of thirty years’ worth of holidays, starting in 1980. Through the lens of each decade’s fashions and faux pas, Ruthie and Bill’s grown children — a priest, an aspiring actress, and a former football star — all return home, where we learn of their plans and dreams as they embark on their adult lives. The empty-nester parents contend with their own changes, too, as old family rituals are trotted out and ancient tensions flare up. As time passes, the family discovers that, despite what we may have in mind, we often arrive at unexpected destinations.

This production is rated PG-13 for mild adult language.

Ticket Price

$40 per person includes the performance and three course meal.

Exchanges, Returns, & Waiting List

Tickets may be exchanged for another performance up until noon the day of the original performance, space permitting. Entrees may be exchanged up until noon the day of the performance.

Tickets are non-refundable, though if you find yourself unable to attend, please contact us. If there is a patron on our waiting list with the same number of tickets to the same performance, we may be able to help you both!

We will have a waiting list for each performance, in the unlikely event that seats open up after a performance sells out due to an exchange. To be added to that waiting list, leave us a message with your first and last name, phone number, number of seats, and entrees preferences. Make sure to keep an eye on your phone between noon and 6:00pm the day of the performance!

Seating Chart

This is an intimate venue with dinner table seating: tables of seven, eight, and four. You do not need to purchase an entire table.

Please note that our ticketing system will prevent you from selecting a number of seats that will leave only one seat empty at a table (called an “orphan” seat). For example, the system will not allow you to purchase 3 seats at a table that seats 4, as that one “orphan seat” will be very difficult to sell. If you cannot find another table that will fit your party without leaving an orphan seat, we recommend finding another guest that would like to attend with you to fill that orphan seat!

There are 60 seats available at each performance. Seating is extremely limited, and, due to the unique dinner table seating arrangement, as tickets are sold it may become difficult to find a table with the number of seats your party requires. With this in mind, we strongly encourage you to secure your tickets as soon as possible!
