What actors should expect at auditions
Singers will perform a solo with a microphone in front of the director. No accompanist will be provided. You may bring your own pianist or you can sing with a background track (CD/phone/etc. — bluetooth speaker and aux cord provided). Background tracks must only have instrumental background–no lead vocals.
What actors should prepare for auditions
Please come to auditions with a song prepared that you feel will fit the theme of “What’s New, Broadway” described above.
“What’s New, Broadway?”
This cabaret will feature solos, duets, and group numbers from productions seen on Broadway in the last ten years!
Note: This event is intended for adult audiences and may contain adult language or situations.
Rough Rehearsal Schedule
There will be 2-3 group rehearsals and at least 2 sessions for singers to work individually with the pianist. Singers should plan on learning much of the music on their own and only using rehearsal time to polish and collaborate with the other musicians.
