As a proud former marching band member, Lisa is thrilled to be directing The Music Man, and is already planning to get  local marching bands on stage.

About this Musical

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain’s fall.

This production is rated G.

What actors should expect at auditions

There will be a singing portion, a short acting audition where you will read from the script, and a dance audition. Auditions will be held in an open room so you will be singing in front of other actors.

What actors should prepare for auditions

  • Please prepare a vocal solo no longer than 16-32 bars in a similar style to the show that showcases your range and ability.
    • A pianist will be provided, but you may bring your own audio track, pianist, or you may accompany yourself. A speaker with a CD player, auxiliary cord, and one of those newfangled new iPhone adapters will be available.
